由于伺服油泵所輸出的壓力、流量可以閉環控制,所以它的壓力重復精度好,而且在低壓力下也可以可靠的工作。伺服油泵所輸出的流量是靠數字信號來控制的,有很好的線性和低速可控性,其流量的重復精度也較高。
另外,伺服油泵所產生的噪音也較變量泵低。
然而伺服油泵也有它的缺點。在變量泵系統中,在保壓時不會擔心電機的輸出扭矩不同,因為電機的功率沒有改變;伺服油泵在保壓時轉速減小,其輸出扭矩必然減小,所以,伺服油泵的伺服馬達必需是的、并且在低速時有較大扭矩輸出。另外,伺服油泵對電源的要求比較高,即使在變動幅 10% 以內,特別是在正側變動時,由于主機運轉條件、負荷條件,也會有超負荷報警的可能。負荷容積較大且在高壓維持狀態下,如果忽然斷電,可能會造成控制器的損壞。
